Sounds of Africa

Africa has its own unique sounds – natural and man-made.

Sounds you’ll only hear in Africa: The laugh of a hyena; the sound of bucks running across a field; a lion roaring in the dark; the sound of 2 giraffes necking (you’ll know when you see this happen; and the sound of the sun on Africa’s dusty land;

Africa’s people are musical. They are raised with mothers singing and people dancing around an open fire. Africa’s Sounds have also been exported – well-known musicians include Youssou N’dour (Senekal), Lucky Dube, Seether, Just Jinjer (South Africa).
